FIELD MANUAL
THE RUN
A run is 3 missions with one lance. Damage carries between
missions — patch up in the Salvage Bay. Clear all three to win.
If the lance is wiped (or a beacon falls), the run ends.
YOUR TURN
Each mech may move once and fire once, in either order.
Hostiles commit their plans before you act — everything they
will do is already on the board. Undo Turn (Z) rewinds your
whole turn, free.
READING THE FIELD
Dashed line + chevron — where a hostile will move. Red tile + crosshair + number — what it will shoot, for how much. Corner-ticked tiles — splash. The blast covers these too. Yellow arrow — a hit will shove you to that tile. Red diamond + count — reinforcements land there in N turns.
Stand on it to jam the drop (1 dmg per turn). Amber markers — mission objective.
HEAT
Firing builds heat. At the cap you get a THERMAL WARNING
— fire past it and the overflow comes out of your hull. Mechs
vent 3 heat per turn. Water dunks heat to zero; fire slams it to max.
TERRAIN
Wreckage blocks movement and line of fire. Cover soaks 1 damage from any hit. Fire (and green hellfire): 1 dmg entering, staying, or starting there — and heat to max. Pit: entering ends your move; skip a full turn; can't fire from
inside; only adjacent attackers can hit you. Water: stops your move and next turn you can fire but not move.
Resets heat to zero.
OBJECTIVES
Sweep — destroy every hostile. Cache grab — step on the cache to haul it. The carrier is
slowed, can't fire, and every hostile hunts it. Reach the green
EXFIL zone. If the carrier dies, the cache drops — re-grab it. Dust-off — protect the Lift Beacon until the timer runs out.
It can't dodge, and hostiles you don't stop will shell it. It is
immune to fire, not to guns.
SALVAGE BAY
Win missions to earn Salvage (+2 base, +1 per surviving mech).
Kills have a 50% chance to drop a Core.
Repair 1S → +2 HP · Recover 5S+1C → revive a wreck
· Reinforce 4S → +2 max HP · Rearm 3S+3C → swap a weapon.
